Holmarc manufactures automatic digital polarimeters for industry and research with robust performance and efficiency. Symmetric angular oscillation optical null technique by faraday modulation is implemented in our polarimeters to achieve high resolution and repeatability. Operation is simple: place the sample filled tube in the automatic polarimeter and press read button. Measurement is displayed on the soft colour lcd display of the instrument.
The polarimeter is used for determining the optical rotation of substances. By measuring optical rotation, the concentration, content, purity etc of the sample solution can be found out. Polarimeter has become one of the most useful instruments in research laboratories of sugar industry, pharmaceutical industry, oil refining, food industry, chemical industry as well as basic research in universities and r&d organizations.
Major modules in our polarimeter include light source, interference filter, polarizer, faraday modulator, sample chamber, analyzer and detector. Unpolarized light from light source (led) passes through an interference filter and polarizer so that a fixed wavelength polarized light comes out. This polarized light enters the faraday modulator and then passes through the sample cell. The modulated light which passed through the sample cell enters a second polarizer, known as the "Analyzer, which detects the angle of rotation. Finally, the light falls on a silicon photo diode which converts the light intensity to an electric signal.

Holmarcs Spin Coating unit, Model no: HO-TH-05C has been designed with many additional features than that of Model: HO-TH-05.
In this model of spin coater, UV LED curing system is used whenever there is a need for curing and drying of coatings. It also provides gases purge facility for additional supply of gases inside the chamber. Vaccum Chucks provide flat, rigid surface for mounting substrates of different sizes and shapes. A vaccum chuck powered by oil- less vaccum pump holds the substrate at the spinning head. In-built sample dispensing system (optional accessory) helps to supply volatile solution in milli liter volume. The syringe holder height can be adjusted and rotated freely along the support rod. All required safety measures are provided for high speed rotation and spillage. It also provides facility for drainage.
The system has a user friendly front panel with key board and LCD display. The programs are easy to set up with up to 9 steps per program. All other features are same as that of Model: HO-TH-05. Three sets of nylon anti-corrosive vacuum chucks are provided along with the equipment for holding substrate from 15 x 15 mm square to 100 x 100 mm square.

Thin film spectroscopic reflectometer is a fundamental instrument used for the analysis of thin film thickness in industry and research. Holmarcs tfsr model is able to analyze thin films thickness, complex refractive index and surface roughness with high speed and repeatability. Tfsr theory works with complex matrix form of fresnel equations for reflectance and transmittance. Absolute reflectance spectroscopy is the principle behind reflectometer; which is the ratio of the intensity of the reflected light beam (usually monochromatic) to the intensity of the incident beam.
Light beam normally incident on the sample surface in turn reflect from top and bottom of the thin film surfaces which get interfered and is directed through optical fiber to ccd attached spectrometer via computer. On the monitor we get spectrogram with interference oscillations directly proportional to the thin film thickness.
Holmarcs reflectometer can be used to analyze single, multi-layer, free standing and rough layer thickness of various stacks such as di-electric, crystalline, amorphous, metallic and absorbing samples. It also finds absolute transmittance and absorption directly. Roughness treatment is done with ema modeling. The instrument can also be used to find optical conductivity, molar refractivity and brewsters angle of sample under study.

UV Ozone cleaning is a simple to use dry process which is highly effective method to clean surfaces. The cleaning effect is caused by irradiating the surface of a substrate with suitable lamps creating enough energy in the in the Ultra Violet spectrum range. It is photo-sensitized oxidation process by atomized Oxygen and high reactive Ozone. The UV radiation directly to the surface stimulates the reaction. Volatile hydrocarbon products are produced. The removal of hydrocarbons in nanometer thickness by oxidation results in ultra clean surfaces with significantly wettability. This is very important before thin film coating process of glass and ceramic surfaces.
UV Ozone Cleaner features very high ozone UV lamps which generate energy at 185 nanometers in addition to the low 254 nm line. It provides a trey of 176mm x 168 mm dimension for positioning samples under the UV light source. It comes with an exhaust port and inlet media for the circulation of gas in the trey.
